Approve 71 Washington
Thank you, Carla, for helping us get out the word for Approve71.org, the mail-in ballot to affirm Washington state's domestic partnership law. In 2009 the legislature passed SB 5688 which expanded the rights of registered domestic partners, including both seniors and unmarried same-sex couples. With over 6,000 registered domestic partners in Washington, this law is important to over 12,000 people and their families.A quick list of links mentioned on the October 13 show
Because this is a mail-in ballot, it is crucial that folks get their votes in right away, and then look at other simple ways to support Referendum 71 before November 3rd.
