The FBI recently released Hate Crime statistics that show crimes against gays and lesbians are up. Meanwhile 3 transgender students were physically attacked on Washington state campus. Violence against transgender people isn't considered a Hate Crime under national legislation. November 20th marks the Transgender Day of Rememberance which commerates the trans people who were murdered in the past year.
In this program, co-hosts Jacob Anderson-Minshall and Rebecca Nay talk to representatives from Allies Against Rape Culture and Women's Crisis Line about these and other issues regarding gender-based violence.
