Even here at the bastion of Left Coast letters, I was criticized for asking a guest questions about climate change instead of questions about the economy. Twenty-four hours later all the pundits, talking heads, intellectuals public and private were wondering why neither Romney nor Obama had mentioned the fact that virtually every physical system upon which our daily dose of weather depends is showing signs of irreversible changes . Our most Byzantine algorithms are incapable of handling all the variables. And in addition to defying prediction, Climate Change is unstoppable. So Wall Street closed up shop as Sheriff Sandy comes to town...Does this mean that the corporados have made their peace (More likely made their piece) with "a higher being as they understand it"...or are they celebrating the official opening of Disaster Capitalism Season?
