The Undies of Evil

A crafty CIA operation resulted in  the failure of a plot by al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula to detonate an upgraded version of the failed 2009 "underwear bomb",

No target had been chosen, no plane tickets purchased by the time the alleged plot was foiled and there was never any risk to the public. It is not clear what has happened to the would-be bomber.  This latest American triumph over The Undies of Evil prompted bigoted Islamophobe, Representative Peter King to quip, "We don't have to worry about him any more."

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said the foiled attack was proof of the continuing need for vigilance around the world.  What next? Whoopie cushions? Hand buzzers? Cigarette loads?  Squiting doorbells?

"That's not news," you say...Well try this:

At this moment it looks like  Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett will be the one Wisconsin voters choose to take on first-term arriviste Governor Scott Walker in a historic recall election next month.  All eyes are on the June 5th general election: Union rights are at stake here.  So the bad news is that of course the utterly shameless Koch Brother will be pouring money into the race and Republican operatives will be working behind the scenes (They are very busy even as we speak, pushing buttons, pulling strings, plugging holes…) to assure that their paymasters make their nut.  And the good news is that whatever the outcome, Labor, across the country, will be whipped to something like a frenzied pitch, lean, mean and ready to fight all the way to Wall Street.

Governor Scott Walker, while still wet behind the ears, emerged as a national conservative hero, shattering fundraising records in Wisconsin by collecting $25 million, mostly from out-of-state donors. In-state donors fort he most part loath the man.
