Celebration of DADT repeal. Live from the Q Center
Today was an historic day on several fronts. Don't Ask, Don't Tell is now officially history. Also, for the first time ever, Out Loud Radio left the cozy confines of KBOO's studios to do a live broadcast from Portland's Q Center. Join host host Rebecca Nay and members of Portland's LGBT community to celebrate the end of the U.S. military's ban on out lesbian, gay, bisexual (and transgender??) servicemembers.
Hear from Q Center executive director Barbara McCullough-Jones, local leaders of the group Veterans for Human Rights, Portland Mayor Sam Adams, and many vets who servered under or were discharged under the military's repressive anti-gay policies.
