ICE Facility in Southeast Portland Denied
A land-use hearings officer has shot down plans to create a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE facility in South East Portland. The officer ruled that the facility is controversial and unsafe for surrounding areas. The proposed location of the facility was on Portland’s South waterfront. KBOO’s Mamie Stevenson spoke to Jim Davis of the South Portland Neighborhood Association about the development of this facility.
