tonight we will speak with rob fields of www.boldaslove.us and explore the histories and present states of black people in 'rock music'.  we will look at the political over-and undertones of musicians, from little richard to the isley brothers, to bad brains, right on down to mos def.  also, even though rock music is a direct descendent of blues and gospel musics, in lieu of the way its changed over the years; do black people still have a place in it?
