Interviews with folks from NARA Family night and Mervin Wright from the Pyramid Lake Paiute.
On Thursday, February 11, "Redwillow" called in from the Native American Rehabilitation Association's "Family Night" and intorduced us to several participants. "Family Night" is where families get together on Thursday's from 5:30 to 8pm and participate in fun activities. It is a community building event.
Shusli connected us with Mervin Wright, Jr. about the Ruby pipeline. It is a pipeline for natural gas, which isn't collected all that naturally, that will go through many sacred sites to the Paiute nation. This on the heels of a large natural gas explosion in Allentown, Pennsylvania that killed 5 people and destroyed at least for homes.
