The Emergency Shelter Clearinghouse serves as a hotline and lifeline for men, women, and children experiencing homelessness in Clark County. After receiving training, volunteers answer calls and make referrals to available shelter spaces and other community resources. The Clearinghouse is currently looking for volunteers to cover the Clearinghouse from his or her home on Wednesday evenings from 4pm-8pm. Volunteers' phone numbers are never given out; rather, calls to the Clearinghouse are transferred to a home or cell phone line.
