BUSINESS ON A BIKE is a fun, weekly, no one left behind, networking bike ride for people who need to multi-task. It rolls off at 3 pm from the OMSI Submarine at 1945 SE Water Ave in  Portland -- that’s on the bike path overlooking Willamette river -- and runs until 4 pm every Friday.

Friendly House creates a thriving community by connecting people of all ages and backgrounds through quality educational, recreational and other life-sustaining services.  On Friday nights, Friendly house hosts Community Night and Open Table Creative Space, welcoming you to draw, paint, write or craft;  lift weights in the workout room; play a little bit of pick-up dodgeball; or browse the internet!  Community Night runs every Friday Night from  6-9:15 pm . That’s at 1737 NW 26th Avenue in NW Portland.

Alcoholics Anonymous hosts regular, welcoming, and free  weekly meetings at various Oregon locations.  On Friday evenings, there are over 30 meetings in the Portland area, including one at 6:30 PM at the Q Center, located at 4115 N Mississippi Ave; in Albany, there’s a 6:00 meeting at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1910 34th St., and a 9:30 PM meeting at 1111 Bain St. SE.

The Oregon Humane Society has hundreds of companion animals available for adoption every day at a number of outreach locations throughout the Portland Metro Area. Every Saturday afternoon from noon to 4 pm, there are several wonderful feline friends available for adoption at the pet store at 9721 NE Cascades Pkwy in Portland. Adoption events featuring dogs, rabbits, and other pets can be found on the calendar at oregonhumane dot org.
