Bill Moyers: "What's the Situation?"

One of the most trusted and beloved figures in American journalism, Bill Moyers has been both observer and participant in the most important social movements of our times.   As Special Assistant, Press Secretary, and confidant of President Lyndon B. Johnson, he was a prime architect of the social programs known as the Great Society.  Ordained as a Baptist pastor, and often called “America’s conscience,” Moyers has taken on subjects as diverse as income inequality, biased news reporting, Constitutional crises, and racism.

Winona LaDuke "Economics for the Seventh Generation"

The 2015 Vine Deloria Jr. Lecture Series at Reed college hosted Winona LaDuke as its keynote speaker. LaDuke is a member of the Mississippi Band of the White Earth Reservation of the Anishinaabe Nation. She is an activist, economist, environmentalist, two-time vice presidential candidate, and author of numerous articles and books.
