During his west coast tour, the funny and talented Herb Ohta, Jr. recently visited Portland for an 'ukulele concert, educational outreach, and master classes. APA Compass caught up with him and had the pleasure of sitting down for an interview after his elementary school concert. The Portland Queer Music Festival welcomes 24 LGBTQ and allied bands on July 22 at two venues, with shows starting at 2pm. The all ages show is at Backspace and the 21 and older show is at the Someday Lounge.
We pulled up the garage door and made some room next to that 55' Chevy we've been working on so that The Potons could set up and play for us. They had a little problem, when the lead guitarist DNA found out her had a bad cable, but they kept on rockin'.
