Malheur Refuge Week Four
The occupation of the Malheur Wildlife Refuge in Harney County, by an armed group of self-styled militia men from out of state, is now entering its fourth week.
A community meeting to discuss the occupation, scheduled for today in Burns, was canceled by Harney County Judge Steve Grasty.
Judge Grasty cited safety concerns as the primary reason for the cancellation.
KBOO’s Paul Roland is on the ground in Burns, along with Arun Gupta, who’s covering the story for the website Raw Story. I spoke with Paul to get more information on what’s been going on in Harney County.
