BIG Art - Sculptures by the dozen and art by the ton! WTF has invited large and small installation artists from all over the West Coast to gather together and show their stuff. Forget about stodgy museums and “please don’t touch the art” signs… this is your opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the biggest names from Burning Man and beyond. Climb it, touch it, interact with it! WTF’s Big Art Experience welcomes all colorful comers and invites participants to create some art of their own.
Dance Parties - Emerging from Burning Man and based in San Francisco, Opulent Temple offers a peak experience of sacred dance to world-class electronic music. The standard of this iconic sound stage production is being raised to an epic next level featuring 3D visual projection on a geometric DJ performance booth. This is a rare opportunity to experience the Opulent Temple sound, described as raw, unexpected, full-bodied and visceral. Read more at OpulentTemple.org.
Pool Party - Decibel is proud to be partnering with What The Festival to present one of this year’s infamous WTF Pool Parties. The Sunday Afternoon Decibel Pool Party lineup will showcase a wide spectrum of sun-drenched underground dance music ranging from Deep House to Nu Disco to Garage. Headlining the event will be the Los Angeles-based House/Nu Disco duo Classixx, whose recent album Hanging Gardens was described by Pitchfork as “bright, warm, and breezy, and [...] summertime.” Supporting the bill will be three Seattle luminaries, Kid Smpl (Hush Hush Records), J.Alvarez aka 214 (Hypercolour) and Decibel Festival founder, curator and resident DJ, Sean Horton aka Nordic Soul.
