Description:

KBOO is proud to co-sponsor a discussion on Racism and Settler Colonialism at Home and Abroad: A Conversation Toward Building Global Solidarity.

Student speakers will explore and counter the master narratives that deny our histories and our rights. From the European conquest of the Americas and the enslavement of Africans to the ongoing colonization of Palestine, settler-colonialism has promoted racism and obstructed the self-determination of indigenous communities.

Sponsored by the following students groups at Portland State University: Students United for Palestinian Equal Rights (SUPER), Las Mujeres, United Indian Students in Higher Education (UISHE) and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP)

The event will take place on Thursday November 21 @ 6:30 at the Native American Student and Community Center at Portland State University.
