It's a day of FREE, no-strings attached workshops aimed at helping people improve their credit, get out of debt, negotiate their college loans, and understand their legal rights.Empower yourself with unbiased advice from organizations whose mission it is to improve your economic standing:  Financial Planning Association, Bradley Angle House, Clarke Balcom Law, Economic Fairness Oregon, Innovative Changes, Metropolitan Family Services, Multnomah Library, and REACH CDC.

Workshop Schedule:

10:15-11:00 a.m.     Choose Your Own Credit Building Adventure

11:15-12:00 p.m.     How to Raise a Money Smart Kids

12:00- 1:00 p.m.     Taking Action: Share Your Debt Stories, Proposed Collection Reform, Stopping Un-Fair Debt Practices

 1:15 - 2:00 p.m.     Dealing with Debt in Collections: Your Rights and Options

 2:15 - 3:00 p.m.     Tackling Your Student Loans

In addition to the workshops, there will be raffles for gift cards, refreshments, kid-friendly activities, and access to other community resources.  Professional fiancial planners will also be on-hand for those who may need additional guideance -- all, at no charge!
