All Together Now!
A four-hour mobile festival of radical positivity.
"We're tired of hearing bad news all the time. We want to celebrate together all that is good.” -- Sam Smith, Event Coordinator
So, on this night, Community Supported Everything is encouraging individuals and groups to grab a radio -- tuned to KBOO at 90.7 FM -- and join in a de-centralized party (from wherever you are in the city of Portland) in celebration of the simple fact that we are all human beings capable of art, love, creativity, and goodness. KBOO Community Radio will be participating by airing only positive music that night!
One group is planning to convene in Colonel Summers Park (SE 20th and Belmont) at 8:00 p.m.; then, march towards the Southeast Waterfront, offering to everyone that they meet cookies and cupcakes that they’ve baked. If you like this idea, just show-up with a radio and some food to share!
If you are inspired to do something yourself which contributes to this event -- share it, and ask for help! -- self-organize! If you do plan to celebrate in another area of Portland, we simply ask that you post the location HERE where others will know about it!
Car radios can be tuned in to transform entire streets into impromptu celebrations. Flash mob dance parties can erupt anywhere. A decentralized sound system, composed of tens of thousands of small stereos could unite Portland into one massive celebration. Isn’t that interesting? It all comes down to you. There is no one organizing this, we’re just extending to everyone the opportunity and the intention.
