David Goldblatt speaks with guest host Renee Poindexter

Composing for media is David Goldblatt's focus, with the piano at the core of his creating. He has skills as a composer and arranger, and his work has been featured on numerous films and TV shows including the CBS series, “EZ Streets,” Showtime’s, “The Defenders,” and the "Oprah Winfrey Show." David has just completed all the music and sound effects for a 3D virtual reality ride show in Wuhan China and he has scored a number of documentaries, composed genre specific library music and video game music since moving to Portland. He has toured globally as musical director with Diana Ross and was the composer and bandleader on the nationally televised Dennis Miller show.

Currently David performs regularly around the Portland and Seattle areas and has worked with Tim Willcox Superjazzers Band, Chuck Israels, Christopher Brown, Michael Raynor Trio, Kate Davis, Dan Balmer, and many other local jazz greats from the Portland community.
