Soul Music of the Sixities and Seventies will be presented in a series beginning in September on the 13th,and 20th from 4pm to 5pm on KBOO 90.7 FM. Hosted by the legendary former KBOO radio host, and journalist, Ms. Lanita Duke.
 
During the last quarter of the 20 Century Ms. Lanita Duke's weekly program "From the Grassroots". Pioneered protest music and commentary through a Black perspective lens. The program tendered both support and controversy, framing national discourse around identity, and social change. The long awaited return comes with classic Soul Music and Jazz that showcase artists Billie Holiday, Curtis Mayfield, Gill Scot-Heron, and important artist of the era. Tune in for the special series beginning on Saturdays, September 13th and 20th from 4pm to 5pm, The Motif.
