Climate Change, politics, capitalism and a People's Movement Assembly in Portland

As "world leaders" meet at the UN to discuss climate change and 400 thousand march for action in New York and here in Portland, today's Old Mole, hosted by Tom Becker, discuss the prospects for change the leaders ignore: action from the grass roots.  Here are links to the show's segments; or you can use the play button to hear the whole show.

1.  Janet Redman of the Institute for Policy Studies talks with Bill Resnick about governments' turn to the private sector for solutions.

2.  Direct from the streets of New York at Sunday's big march, Diana Rempe tells Jan Haaken what's going on.

3.  Tom Becker reads Rob Urie's piece about climate and the logic of capitalism.

4.  Two organizers talk with Jan Haaken about the People's Movement Assembly coming up this weekend in Portland.
