Recently I travelled from Portland to Montana, and then on to Chicago, on Amtrak.  The trip was quite enjoyable; the scenery along the Columbia River Gorge, and through the Rockies, was spectacular.  We also enjoyed seeing the small towns along the track once we got into Minnesota and Wisconsin.  Anyway, that was my inspiration for this morning.

Also, this morning I tried out some software that promised to reduce the amount of click and pop noise from the LP's that I play on my program.  My assessment is that it helped some, but it wasn't as effective as I had hoped: you could still hear occasional bits of noise.  If you heard today's program, and have an opinion about the sound quality, please feel free to contact me through this web site.
