Protests were held in front of several mexican consulates in the U-S today in support of A Mexican-American woman by the name of Nestora Salgado Garcia, who has been in Mexican federal custody since August 27th.
Garcia was reported to have angered the local officials of Guerrero Province, who charged her with kidnapping and gave her the maximum sentence in prison.

Her supporters say that she was targeted as a leader of the indigenous community of OLINALA.
Many states have join in on the protest to release NESTORA in representation of Human Rights Day. PORTLAND protestors were at the local downtown Mexican Consulate to demonstrate for NESTORA’s release.

The protestors presented signs and letters at the local consulate demanding that the president of mexico end the military occupation of NESTORA’s hometown of OLINALA.
