FCC proposes a 'pay to play' internet
The Federal Communications Commission has proposed changing the rules on how the Internet is regulated.
Internet and free speech activists say the new rules will forever change the free and open Internet to a quote “pay to play” system that is controlled by corporate interests.
KBOO’s Robin Ryan spoke with April Glaser with the Electronic Frontier Foundation, a group which advocates for a free and open Internet.
She also spoke with Timothy Karr, the senior director of Strategy at Free Press.
