Opportunities for women and multicultural owned businesses and inspiring male youth of color

Join us for a conversation with Deena Pierott about how women and people of color are breaking the glass ceiling of economic opportunity in our region and nation and how she is working to inspire male youth of color to become tomorrow's technology leaders.

Ms. Pierott is the founder of the award winning Mosaic Blueprint, a Pacific NW firm specializing in diversity recruiting, diversity event planning, and multicultural branding.  She
is also the founder The Urban Entrepreneur's Network (UEN) of SW Washington which supports multicultural entrepreneurial development to help achieve self-sufficiency, create wealth and increase economic opportunity for business people and our communities. She has also successfully launched a STEM+Arts based program for black and brown male youth called the iUrban Teen. iUrban Teen programs have been hosted by Washington State niversity-Vancouver, and the University of Portland and now expanded to Seattle, Washington.

Ms. Pierott has served in many community positions, including Commisioner with Washington Commission on African American Affairs, and founder of the Portland Metro Diversity Employment Network for Human Resource Professionals.

Ms. Pierott is a recipient of numerous awards for her work and was recognized in 2013 as a White House Champion of Change for Tech Inclusion.
