Digital Art Panel with Stephen Slappe, Krystal South and Theo Downes-Le Guin
On Feb 4, 2013 at 11.30am Joseph Gallivan hosts a Digital Art Panel with Krystal South, Stephen Slappe and Theo Downes-Le Guin.
 
These two artists and one gallery owner will talk about Net art, mobile apps, art that exists only in computers, glitch art and the backlash against software and slick finishes. They will also talk about which artists are making a name for themselves in this realm.
 
Krystal South is a multidisciplinary artist, designer, and writer whose piece "Identify Yourself" was included in PICA's TBA festival in 2013. http://idyrself.com/about.html In her day job she is a designer at Plus Citizen in Portland.
Stephen Slappe is the Chair of the Bachelor in Fine Arts in Video and Sound at the Pacific Northwest College of Art. His is the creator of the app "8" which will be available soon.
Theo Downes-Le Guin is the Owner and Director of the Upfor gallery in the Pearl District.
