Sharon M. Draper, professional educator and award winning author is May guest on Black Book Talk. Draper has been honored as the National Teacher of the Year and is a five-time winner of the Coretta Scott King Literary Awards.    Among her well-loved young adults books are Tears of a TigerForged by FireCopper Sun and the nine-week New York Times bestseller, Out of my Mind.  Her latest book is  Panic, about  15-year-old Diamond, who  tries to show her mother she knows how to make an "adult" decision.  Instead, she disappears from a local mall, and no one can find her.  
Draper talks to Black Book Talk about why and how she writes, and what  she’s writing now.
