Amy Pearl talks with Don Merrill about new small business investing opportunities for Oregonians
Amy Pearl is the Executive Director of Springboard Innovation, rebranded as Hatch Innovation, a 10-year old non profit that is essentially in the business of building businesses. She was the driving force behind the Community Public Offering, an idea whose implementation by the Oregon Division of Finance and Corporate Securities leap-frogged over statute to become administrative law. As a surprise to everyone, this shortened its implementation from 18 months to three.  Its purpose is to let Oregonians invest real money in real businesses. It's not crowdfunding. And although it is conceptually simple, the devil is in the details. Don Merrill talked with Ms. Pearl about this exciting option for Oregonians that she likes to call "the biggest earthquake to hit Oregon that no one feels".
