Website

By the time some of you read this, a new visual update should be live. In it, our main navigation menu has moved to the top of each page. This menu includes links to some new pages, including new pages focusing on music, public affairs, podcasts, playlists, and media training.

Website Errors

Categories:

In the past week, the KBOO website has experienced a few hiccups of data loss, some of which we have been able to recover.  The lastest episode happened sometime in the past few days and you may notice that some of the webpages you were working on have lost their recent edits or may not exist at all if they were created recently.

Roger has been dealing with this since the first instance happened and has been communicating with our host about the issue.  For now, I would say go ahead and continue to use the website but know that this issue has not been resolved.

Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.

Website

Roger upgraded our web hosting some time ago to a more dedicated machine and overall, the speed and performance of the website has improved and been more dependable. There have been a few remaining errors with playlists and the splash page we created for the drive, but nothing too major.

HTTP 0 errors

Categories:

Many users submitting playlists, audio, and other forms are getting an error that begins with "An HTTP 0 error..."

If this happens to you please send me an email with the details of the error message and what you were doing when it occured.  Our web develper is actively working on this.  Thanks for your patience.

Photos working again!

Categories:

Hello everyone,

We've got more updates on the way but I wanted to make sure everyone knows that the ability to post photos is working again.  You'll find a photo icon (looks like a landscape picture) in the menu of the "body" area where you type descriptions of things.  You can link to a photo that is already on the internet by pasting a URL web address of that image, or upload your own.  Thanks for your patience!

We are also now on Flickr so if you've got great photos of the station, our events, or your show, please add them to our group photo pool.

New Station Schedule!

Categories:

Now you can publicize your upcoming shows yourself on the KBOO website!

Once you log in, you will see a new option under "create content" in your left sidebar menu called "Program Episode".

Station Schedule on the Way...

Categories:

Programmers may be noticing outdated information on the website regarding their programs.  One of the most commonly reported problems is when a show is listed as "currently unscheduled."  This is because the current date system can only report information on the current week.

Unfortunately, there have been delays in implementing a new schedule that will make our programming more automated and easier to use, both for hosts and listeners.  It will also allow hosts to publicize thier upcoming shows themselves.

In the meantime, please excuse out of date listings, as this process is very time-intensive.  Any volunteers who would like to help keep the current schedule more up-to-date please contact me.

New webstreams!

Categories:

Our new MP3 webstreams are now online!  We've been testing them out the past week and everything seems good so far, but we'd love for others to join in and give some feedback.  You can find the links on our "listen" page here: http://www.kboo.fm/listen.  The MP3 streams are compatible with iTunes so Mac users rejoice!
