KBOO is excited to co-sponsor the Village Building Convergence--  a ten-day celebration of building community in very tangible ways.

Briefly, the VBC brings people together to create benches, community kiosks, gardens, street paintings, tile mosaics, and more! Neighbors and volunteers from all over will bring to life the natural building, permaculture, and public art projects that they’ve been planning. Check out KBOO by volunteering during the Winter Membership Drive

Hi.  I'm Ani, KBOO's Volunteer Coordinator, and I'd love to talk with you about volunteering.

Between February 2nd and the 18th, we are raising $100,000 for KBOO during out Winter Membership Drive! This is hugely important because KBOO's ability to remain a vibrant independent source for news, music, community information, and art absolutely relies on listener support.  Over 80% of KBOO's funding comes from our listeners, and most of that comes to KBOO through the on-air membership drives.  We have over six-hundred shifts to fill during the drive, so we really need everyone's support to make the drive a success.  There are a number of roles for volunteers, and I’d love to talk with you further about how you’d like to participate!

Let's warm up this cold month with a little social time.

Saturday December 17th from 5 - 9 pm

The KBOO Staff invite you to join us for a festive evening of holiday merriment!
Hot spiced cider, cookies, and snacks will be provided by KBOO.  Additionally, we encourage people to bring treats to share, too.

Volunteer to help make our membership drive successful!

Have you wondered what volunteering at KBOO is like?  Do you want to get more involved with your community radio station?  This is your time! KBOO’s Fall Membership Drive begins Thursday, October 6th, and runs through Saturday, October 22nd.

KBOO’s existence depends on membership drives as more than 80% of our funding comes from our listeners—this is, in part, what allows KBOO to be so independent and unique. We ask that all current volunteers at KBOO help with the drive, as we have more than 600 shifts to fill! With shifts available seven days a week, generally spanning the hours of 6 AM to 11 PM, there are shifts to fit anyone’s schedule.
