Yes, Boo Bash was swell, and other holiday greetings

Thanks for coming out and making Boo Bash a great success! Sean put together a great lineup with a wide-range of music that reflects the eclectic music offerings we have at KBOO. And Jennifer was a lovely and righteous hostess. Special thanks to all the musicians and to Holocene for hosting us. We had some excellent winners of the costume contest (there were many cool costumes!) including a gal dressed up as a fortune telling crystal ball as well as the roadkill guy. Check out some photos, courtesy of Brizbomb (who was also did a super cool performance that night!)

Halloween means Boo Bash!

Yes Boo Bash is almost here! A great, fun, weird way to spend your Halloween. Lots of cool bands from around town and big thanks to Sean and Jennifer from Night of the Living Tongue for doing some awesome work to put this together. We'll have a costume contest (yes, cool prizes!) and raffles.

Here's the poster and the audio promo. Hope to see you there!

Other cool events that we're co-sponsoring include Siren Nation Festival, NW Film Center's Global Concerns: Human Rights on Film Series and talks with Riane Eisler and Dahr Jamail. Check out the Outreach page for more information on these and other events.

busy weekend to round out august

this coming weekend sure is a busy one for portlanders! i know of many wonderful weird interesting things going on around town.  in fact, KBOO is co-sponsoring three different events this weekend!

my very first kboo blog entry

Well, it's been about 2 months since I first started as PR & Outreach Coordinator here at KBOO. Time sure whizzes by when you're having fun and outreaching! I do believe that I started at the busiest time possible for the department, with immediate rites of initiation granted at Pride Weekend and the annual Waterfront BluesFest. The summer isn't over yet so lots more fun stuff to go...
