After tackling the other two Ubu plays written by ALFRED JARRY in the mid 1890s, KBOO's Ubu Hour finally takes on UBU CUCKOLDED (Ubu Cocu). These absurdist radio dramas were a major inspiration to the Surrealists and Dadaists that followed, and even after more than 110 years, retain their sting. Ubu Cuckolded was adapted for radio theater by Rolf Semprebon from the trnaslation by Cyril Connelly. During the January 2010 Ubu Hour, some female youths identifying themselves as the Teen Crusaders for Morality took over the air waves, to replace the foul and profane Ubu Hour with their own radio theater show. Here's the aircheck of what happened before we were able to broadcast the actual Ubu Hour from the second air room... also because we ran out of material about 6 minutes early, we aired the end of the Teen Crusaders show, since they never realized their mics had been disconnected from the airsignal, and were still doing their show... So this is it.. the beginning of their show, and the end.... which served as bookends to the Ubu Hour show since we were little short on material...

The day after Easter, The Ubu Hour rips into that holiday in part 2 of the Book of Holes, an hour long surreal audio drama about Adam, Eve and the Serpent, the power of words, and the epic battle between the pagan Goddess of fertility, Ostara, and the Zombie king and his followers, who want to turn her celebration of sex into worship of the tortured and murdered son-of-a-god. The following peice contains lurid sex and violence, moments of extreme audience abuse, profanity, descriptions of bodily fluids, and other things too unpleasent to mention here.
