Roe v. Wade established a woman's right to an abortion, but did nothing to ensure that the service was available. Jan Haaken reviews the history of abortion and abortion law and argues for more access.
Faye Powell lived in Georgia in the 1960s and participated in picketting and sit-ins against segregation. She talks here with Denise Morris about her experiences, and they discuss the film Freedom Riders which will be shown at In Other Words Women's Bookstore on Tuesday, January 24 at 7:00 pm.
Denise Morris is our host on a show about the Republican battle over capitalism, a made-up story about multiple personalities that passed for reality, the history and future of the abortion issue, and remembering civil disobedience against segregation in the 1960s.
