Host Goudarz Eghtedari interviews Dr. Omar Dahi trying to cover the latest situations in Syria. Omar S. Dahi, professor of economics at the School of Critical Social Inquiry at Hampshire College, received his M.A. and Ph.D. in economics from the University of Notre Dame, Indiana.  His research and teaching interests are in the areas of economic development and international trade, with a special focus on South-South economic cooperation, and on the political economy of the Middle East and North Africa.

Cathy Breen of Voices for Creative Nonviolence on the people of Iraq and Iraqi refugees

The guest is Cathy Breen, who has volunteered with Voices for Creative Nonviolence for many years. She first went to Iraq in Fall of 2002 with Voices in the Wilderness as part of the Iraq Peace Team. She returned about eight months into the occupation and then again last October. Over the last six years she has also spent periods of time in both Jordan and Syria alongside of Iraqi refugees, to witness to their reality and advocate for their resettlement when desired.
Kathleen Stephenson interviews her about her experiences and the lives of the Iraqi people and Iraqi refugees.
