Bill Resnick talks with Chris Toensing of Middle East Report about US relations with Iran, negotiations over nuclear material, and their common interests in opposing ISIS. They note Israel's interest in distracting attention from the Palestinian question as a destabilizing issue in the region; Saudi interests in avoiding acknowledging an alternative to monarchy as a form of Islamic government; and the fabrication of sectarianism as a source of conflict.

A coalition of peace activists blockaded an Israeli ship in Tampa this weekend, including a direct action by Dezeray Lyn, who locked her neck to a parked car with a u-lock.
The action in Tampa is the latest in a series of protests known as ‘Block the Boat’.
Groups have successfully blocked or delayed Israeli ships in Oakland California, Seattle Washington, Longview Washington, and Vancouver BC.
The Tampa blockade is targeting the Israeli-owned vessel ‘Zim Savannah’, which is owned by Zim Integrated Shipping Services.
Protesters say the blockades are a pressure tactic aimed at trying to get Israel to end its occupation of Palestinian land.
