On January 21, 2010, the U.S. Supreme court took another step in the long - and many say misguided - journey to granting corporations personhood under the U.S. Constitution. In Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission, a five-member majority of the court increased the ability of corporations to use their wealth to influence our electoral process.

Can people recover completely from schizophrenia through psychotherapy? Or is it a chronic disease with no cure and only medication to control symptoms? Catherine Penney, RN, was considered a chronic case of severe schizophrenia, left on a hospital back ward with no hope. A maverick doctor had faith that Cathy's catatonia and bizarre behavior were meaningful, and offered regular compassionate listening as the treatment. Slowly Cathy recovered, and went on to become a psychiatric nurse and worldwide speaker on mental health alternatives. She is profiled in the book Dante's Cure and featured in the video Take These Broken Wings.
