For our Labor Day Special, Katie and Justin from The Hall of Records will stop in to tell us about the upcoming Belmont Street Fair on Sept 10th. And Brook, from the Muddy Boot Festival, which will also be going on this entire weekend, will fill us in on who will be performing there. Also dropping by the big studio will be musical guests Dorian Michael, Margomay, Colleen Rainey & Casey Neill. The station will be closed for the holiday, but we'll be setup out back by the pool and will fire up the grill.

Besides our annual 'back of the studio cook out', host Fortunato welcomes Irish folk singers Colleen Raney and Casey Neill to our studio.  Both were going to perform with their own bands at the upcoming Muddy Boot Festival that upcoming weekend in SE Portland . Also, guitarist Dorian Michael , who was away from his central California home touring the NW, came by to perform some of his original compositions on the guitarand the ukalale.

We talked about his upcoming appearances around the Pacific Northwest, his music background growing up in the blues/folk scene in L.A., and even about tuning guitars and the different types of woods used in making the instruments. But because we were a bit carried away with our show of Movie Soundtracks and TV Themes, we could only air part of the interview.
