Outside In Youth Project: Violence Against Sex Workers
This week KBOO and Outside In worked together on a youth media project about sexual health.
Violence Against Sex Workers
William Madden, Rogelio Guangelista, Eric Garcia
Violence against sex-workers happens daily and often goes unreported and unaddressed. Due to the nature of the profession, the growing population of sex-workers in Portland is forced to live outside the
everyday awareness of most residents. Because a blind eye is often turned towards this population it is difficult to provide care for survivors of violence and to prevent future attacks. This segment
highlights the Sex-Worker Outreach Coalition (SWOC) and Portland’s Bad
Date Line.
