Host Ethan Scarl speaks with Richard Hayes Phillips, who has been the leading investigator of the fraudulent 2004 presidential election in Ohio. His work was relied upon by John Conyers in challenging the Ohio electors in Congress, by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. in his article for Rolling Stone magazine, and by Algenon L. Marbley in issuing his federal court order protecting the ballots from destruction. Assisted by teams of volunteers equipped with digital cameras, Phillips amassed some 30,000 images of forensic evidence. Then he analyzed it all himself, examining 126,000 ballots, 127 poll books, and 141 voter signature books from 18 counties in Ohio. Phillips' long-awaited book, "Witness to a Crime: A Citizens' Audit of an American Election," was published in April.

 Today Per Fagering and Kurt Liebezeit have a chance to sit down and interview Nicole Foss, editor of the popular financial news aggregation site The Automatic Earth, on the topics of energy and finance.  Nicole counts nuclear safety among her many areas of expertise, and although the Fukushima disaster has dropped out of the mainstream news cycle it is still very much an area of concern for her and other experts.  Nicole also earned her living in Ontario managing renewable energy policy, and she will explain why the green future that many people aspire to is very difficult to put into practice.

They will discuss the upcoming Gay & Grey Pdx Expo coming to Friendly House on May 21st.

An estimated 10,000 people in the Portland area identify as Gay & Grey, sadly many of these people are under served in many of the basic needs we have come to expect.
