After three months in Portland meeting with inspiring local leaders and participating in classroom trainings, field trips, service projects and team-building activities, the students boarded planes to either Thailand or Ecuador. They traveled far off the beaten path to learn about grassroots leadership and successful models of community organizing, and returned home to speak to hundreds of people at local high schools, community organizations, City Council and on radio shows.
