May 2nd was our Grateful Dead And Friends 8 Hour fundraising Marathon, and I thought I would put in the playlist of the entire 8 hours. This way you can get the play list from one place. It was a fun marathon, and I thought that everybody's segment was strong material-wise. An added bonus was the guest appearance on Mathew's segment by David Lemieux, the archivest for our Heros, The Grateful Dead. Mr. Lemieux Brought along a gem from the Grateful Dead Vault that has never seen the light of day in trading circles. Here is the days playlists in their entirety.

On this week's program, we wasted no time in getting started on the main focus of the show. Our goal was to bring to the listening audience the entier second set of March 18th, 1995 at the Philadelphia Spectrum. This show was the first to be featured on the "Download Of The Month" series. 3-18-95 is considered to be one of the best shows of 1995 for content, and quality. It's all too much, and Visions of Johanna were chosen by Phil Lesh for G.D.s release "Fallout From The Phil Zone". This is the link that will take you to the site where this show can be downloaded. Copy the link, then paste it into your browser. My thanks to Tom Chiles for helping me research this show

Thanks for celebrating Record Store Day with me this morning. I've always wanted to do a vinyl-only show and this one came pretty close. What's more, 90% of the songs I played were on exclusive releases issued just days ago! So I say, long live Record Store Day! I cannot wait to do this again next year. It was exciting to see Music Millenium packed full of people, with more people lining up outside to come in.
