Thanks for the requests! I’m always glad when it works out and I or KBOO actually have the songs that people want to hear. Dumpster Dave requested Buzzcocks’ “Ever Fallen In Love” and there just happened to be a live version in the KBOO library. He called back a little later to request The Clash’s “Armagideon Time”, and I was just about to play a different cut off The Clash - Live At Shea Stadium. Serendipity is what I think they call it.

And then there is the guy that calls weekly requesting Ministry’s “N.W.O” - he needs it to make his time at work go by faster. KBOO (and KPSU) used to get me through long evenings doing data entry for the post office, so I can totally relate.

Happy Birthday to my sister Wendy! I played B-52's "Strobelight" for her, even though she was probably asleep. When we were kids we used to laugh so hard at that song, especially when Fred Schneider says "Lemme kiss your PINEAPPLE!"

In other news, I should have a couple of guests on the program next month. Boy Eats Drum Machine is a local one-man band whose album "booomboxxx" is a great listen. Super XX Man also live here in PDX, they have a new album out called "There'll Be Diamonds" and there's a song on there called "Medication" that I think is the best thing they've ever done. I should have more specific information soon as to exact dates and times.
