Pete Seeger Special

Pete Seeger Special

Friday May 14th, 12 noon to 1 :30 pm, on "Movin' On," hosted by Don Jacobson

Dragged up before the House On Unamerican (sic) Activites Committee, he was accused of being a Communist and was subsequently blacklisted. Never giving up, he continued to perform where he could. He made a historic appearance on the Smother's Brothers TV program singing "Waist Deep In the Big Muddy" much to the dismay of the CBS officials.
