Dear Listeners,

Glad to have you along for the first Folk Espresso of the new year.  As always, it was a fun show to put together.  I threw in a few time-related songs since the passing of time was on our minds this past weekend...and I had a set for a dear friend who celebrated a birthday yesterday.  I sure hope you caught the words of the very funny song, Father Time, about growing old.  Leave it to Johnny Edson to make us laugh...

Keep on listenin'.

Warmly,

Diane

Happy New Year show, ending with Happy New Year in 86 languages recited by Violeta herself

Special New Year's Eve edition of Movin' On.  I'll play some of my favorite music, and at about 1:05 I'll interview Violeta Autumn, a delightful Portland author, architect, and muralist. She collects "Happy New Year" in different languages. We will talk and then she will recite, from memory, her collection of New Year's greetings in 86 languages, including Klingon! (check back here to get the map of the world to follow along, and some personal stories from Violeta).

Laurie Sonnenfeld hosts. Thanks to Violeta Autumn, and to Peter Torres for bringing us together.
