Dear Listeners,

What a total absolute treat for you this morning--all this great new music from all these wonderful and wondrous and talented and creative musicians--all gathered at the Folk Alliance conference this past weekend in Eugene.

I become more and more aware of this everyday:  that music can change and heal this troubled world.  Support the musicians who work long and hard towards this goal.  Go see them live, buy their CDs, tell your friends about them, and tell the musicians themselves that you appreciate their music.  That's an order.

Warmly,

Diane

Un Drame Musical Instantane & the Grrr label.

Tonight we'll listen to releases on the Grrr label.. -- not the American label which releases Christian music, but rather the French label which has released some incredible music in the last 35 plus years. Mainly the label of  Un Drame Musical Instantane, who combined free jazz, rock, and modern classical  and mixed electronics with acoustic instruments in highly creative ways, Grrr also went on to release other excellent recordings by similar artists like Helene Sage, Bernard Vitet, Pied de Poul and more..   .

THE MELTING POT - Pledge Drive Special

  -BEATS ANTIQUE-

Tuesday 10/18/2011 from 8-10pm

On this weeks edition of THE MELTING POT We will be focusing on the music of BEATS ANTIQUE featuring Interviews & Music blended and remixed live in the studio for 2 hours. Focusing on the new release ELEKTRAFONE, as well as rarities, remixes, classics and covers... Refreaked!! Like youve never heard them before.

Since the group’s inception from the eclectic underground of San Francisco’s performance art scene, Beats Antique has been notorious for making it nearly impossible to sit still. They meld their mediums as attentively as they fuse the cultures that inspire their sound. All self produced and composed, the trio creates a unique collage: an animalistic, raw musical event that blurs the lines between the provocative, the spiritual, and the artistic, while still maintaining an allegiance to the muses of class and beauty.

Well be offering tickets to Vagabond Operas Transylvanian Voodoo Ball Oct 29th, Ott w/ Pututure Primitive Nov21, & Blackaliscious w/ Lyrics Born & Freestyle Fellowship Oct 21st , Blockhead w/ Dj Cam Nov1. As Thank You Gifts for your Pledge...
