On Day 1 of our fundraiser Membership drive, we started off with Texas Blues from the late 1940's. Then we played some Southern Blues Harmonica, followed by great 1951 recordings of Linda Hopkins on the Savoy label, and finished with Lowell Fulson on the Kent label and assorted Blues.

On today's show (1/12/09) we started the show with "Blues Legends" from the Columbia Legacy Roots N" Blues series. We then had guest artist David Jacob-Strain who performed two live numbers. Our featured artist was Billy Boy Arnold, with cuts from a 1976 LP called "Sinners Prayer". Most of the rest of the show was a Tribute to Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King.

On today's show 1/05/09 I played women blues singers, recorded in 1961, called "Roll Over Ms. Beethoven". Our featured artist was Sonny Boy Williamson II (his Trumpet Label recordings from 1951). We also played a vinyl EP called "Chicago Harp", and an EP from 1976 of Curtis Salgado & the Nighthawks. And last we played one side of a 1974 record album of John Lee Hooker called "Free Beer and Chicken".

On the 12/15/08 "Blue Monday Show" I started the show with cuts from "Feel Like Going Home" CD from the Martin Scorsese TV series on the Blues. We then had a guest -- Mary Flower, who previewed her new CD on the Yellow Dog label "Bridges". We also had another guest Ron Wesley, and we played one tune from his new self produced recording. And last we played assorted Blues and cuts from a CD called "Blues Chicago Style' -- Guitar Stars.

On this show (12/08/08) I featured Blues from New York City, featured artist was J.B. Lenoir, had a guest -- Dean Mueller from the Insomniacs (played 2 live cuts from their upcoming new CD), and the end of the show I played some Chicago guitar Blues.
