this was quite sudden.  this was an impromptu tribute to michael jackson, who transcended on this day...  it is extremely difficult for me to say that.  EXTREMELY difficult.  people who listen to the show know how much i love michael, and how he has become somewhat as integral to the show as STEVIE WONDER.  and i thank everyone for the calls, messages and flowers at this time.

The new PDX Pop Now compilation was released this week, and it seemed like a good opportunity to do a local music only show. If you're not familiar, PDX Pop Now began in 2004, it is a non-profit organization that produces this amazing festival each summer. All local music, free to the public (all ages). Each year they also release a two-disc compilation of local music.
