Life During Wartime started in 1995, and is on every Wednesday night from 11 pm until 1 am (PDT), here on KBOO. We play DIY Punk And Hardcore records, have live bands, and do a weekly local shows listing for the Portland area (Wild Weekend) right around midnight.
We want your records!! Send them to Life During Wartime /PO BOX 1113 / Portland, OR / 97207-1113
If you have the misfortune of living outside of the Portland area, you can listen to the whole two hour show for two weeks at kboo.fm/LifeDuringWartime. Live Band sets will also be posted there.

An interview with Punk Pioneer and Hero, Alice Bag
Alicia Velasquez was known as Alice Bag in the late 70's when she was one of the main figures in the Los Angeles first wave punk scene. Her new book Violence Girl was just released on Feral House Books. She will be in Portland this Thursday November Third at Green Noise Records, 3840 SE Gladstone. This interview was recorded on Tuesday October 25th and was produced by Erin Yanke. All music included in this piece is by The Bags.
