Eugene and Sushli will return on "Tillicum Wawa" next show Thurday!!!

Eugene and Sushli, co-hosts of "Tillicum Wawa" will return next Thursday show!!! They were sorely missed on the last show dedicated to the appreciation of the overwhelming response by our listeners, to our coat and warm cloths drive for the kids on the Pine ridge Reservation in So Dakota!! We will continue to keep you all informed as to when and how the cloths are getting shipped ,by God's grace, to the children.!!!!

It was so great of our many listeners to really care about the plight if the children on the US Governments' rez lands.

I kow that when all the people really see what is happening on the rez's of this country, they will come together , once again, to see that the proticol for the rez's will change for the better! OHO

Volunteer Spotlight

KBOO is fortunate to have the people power of about 500 volunteers contributing their talents and energies to do just about everything here. There are dozens of roles for volunteers, including investigative news reporting, audio production, spinning fantastic music, engaging in community outreach, greeting people at the front desk, and maintaining the building, to name but a few.

This month, I want to highlight the contributions of Linda Olson-Osterlund, the host and producer of “A Deeper Look”, airing on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays at 9:30 am.

Volunteers work round the clock to bring KBOO to life.  There are about 500 volunteers who add their energy to this great community radio station.  About half of our volunteers contribute to on-air programming, while the rest concentrate their time on the behind the scenes activities that are essential to our existence.

KBOO's volunteers come from many different communities, each adding their skills and passion to the entire station- making us what we are today!

We would love your help with our Spring Membership Drive!

Hello, my name is Ani, and I'm the volunteer coordinator with KBOO.

KBOO is starting our Spring Membership Drive, Thursday, May 3rd, our goal is to raise $75,000!

This is hugely important because KBOO's ability to remain a vibrant independent source for news, music, community information, and art absolutely relies on listener support. There are a number of roles for volunteers, and I’d love to talk with you further about how you’d like to participate!

Check out KBOO by volunteering during the Winter Membership Drive

Hi.  I'm Ani, KBOO's Volunteer Coordinator, and I'd love to talk with you about volunteering.

Between February 2nd and the 18th, we are raising $100,000 for KBOO during out Winter Membership Drive! This is hugely important because KBOO's ability to remain a vibrant independent source for news, music, community information, and art absolutely relies on listener support.  Over 80% of KBOO's funding comes from our listeners, and most of that comes to KBOO through the on-air membership drives.  We have over six-hundred shifts to fill during the drive, so we really need everyone's support to make the drive a success.  There are a number of roles for volunteers, and I’d love to talk with you further about how you’d like to participate!

Hot spiced cider, cookies, and snacks will be provided by KBOO.  Additionally, we encourage people to bring treats to share, too.

Volunteer to help make our membership drive successful!

Have you wondered what volunteering at KBOO is like?  Do you want to get more involved with your community radio station?  This is your time! KBOO’s Fall Membership Drive begins Thursday, October 6th, and runs through Saturday, October 22nd.

KBOO’s existence depends on membership drives as more than 80% of our funding comes from our listeners—this is, in part, what allows KBOO to be so independent and unique. We ask that all current volunteers at KBOO help with the drive, as we have more than 600 shifts to fill! With shifts available seven days a week, generally spanning the hours of 6 AM to 11 PM, there are shifts to fit anyone’s schedule.

Please help us with the Annual Book and Record Sale!

Categories:

The Annual Book and Record Sale is a wonderfully fun community event that raises a few thousand dollars for KBOO.  We are in the midst of preparing the books, CDs, DVDs, vinyl, VHS tapes and the like for the sale, and would love to have your help!

We also need help in picking up donated goods, and in helping to take the donations to our storage site, which helps to keep our studios free to make radio.
