Bilingual Tejano It's all good!!
thank you for talking about the choice to speak what we want to speak or the music that you play. We do not have to apologize for anything. The caller that said to "speak only Spanish" when her own son doesn't even speak spanish-pues que paso?
We are a mixture of two cultures y ni modo.

RE: Gangs
Hello Armando,
Its me raquel Lopez from Keizer. What I have seen is that being part of a gang is the kids family. It is there second family alot of times they feel like they belong to something or peole that care. In order to enter you have to get initiated and to get out you have get jumped out where everyone beats the crap out of you. Then the thing I see is that if you belong to a gang they have your back.

Sunday's playlist
Hello Armando,
Could you tell me the name of the group and the song title for the music you played at 2:05 on Sunday afternoon? It might be the most beautiful sound I've ever heard. It was a waltz and had the most amazing harmonies. The singers must be angels.
Also, did you see Los Cuates de Sinaloa on "Breaking Bad"? Pretty nice.
Thanks,
Tony

La Independcia de Tejas
Press release from; La Casa de Cortez,
La Independencia de Tejas:
It was a day much like today, a cold winter evening, in San Antonio, Tejas only 200 years ago in Tejano American history, the year was 1811, when the bells of freedom Bells rang for the first time in the Kingdom of New Spain.
Tejas is declaring Independence from New Spain, four months after “el grito de Dolores Hidalgo.”; the Mission Bells at the “Mission del Alamo” en San Antonio del Baxter rang long and loud, declaring Tejano, Independence from a European Spanish Empire.
Tejas, meaning both, “as good as it can be” or “as bad as it can get”, the word Tejas was used by the native new world tribe of the “Nabedache” so identified by the Spanish colonizers of what is today north eastern Texas in or about 1687.
Tejas the Northern and largest new world Provence of the New world Kingdom of New Spain, rang it’s bells of freedom declaring it’s independence from it’s capital city of San Antonio, Tejas.
Mexico City, the Capital of the Spanish new world Kingdom was able to hear the freedom bells clear, and loud.
Even though, the two; Mexican Tejanos, Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla, and Jose Maria Morelos declared independence from Spain, for Mexico, September 16, 1810.
It was a retired Captain of the Royal Spanish guard in San Antonio, Juan Bautista de las Casas, who formally declared independence for Tejas and it’s Tejanos four months after “el grito de Dolores Hidalgo”; the early morning of January 22, 1811.
The royal, Capitan Juan Bautista de las Casas, arrested; arrested the Royal Peninsular Governor, Antonio Cordero y Bustamante, appointed to his Royal position in 1805.
Cordero acted as the thirty second Spanish governor of Tejas for six years prior to his arrest the dawn of, January 22 day, of 1811 by Tejano freedom fighter, Juan Bautista de las Casas.
The San Antonio de Valero mission bells rang long and loud announcing and celebrating freedom and independence for Tejas and its people, from European Spanish influence.
Capitan, Juan Bautista de Las Casas, declared an independent revolutionary coup d’etat for the Tejano people as a result of an on going dispute with the Spanish Capital, of “Mexico City.”
Along with the arrest of the Spanish governor Antonio Cordero y Bustamante, Capitan, Juan Bautista de Las Casas also ordered the arrest of lieutenant Spanish Governor, Manuel Maria de Salcedo, appointed to his position in 1808, and served as lieutenant governor for Tejas for a period of three years.
Tejas and it’s Tejano people of the northern in the New world Spanish kingdom make up much as 1/2 of the new world Spanish kingdom land mass and 1/3 of the North American continent in terms of land mass.
The new independent Tejano republic’s territorial borders extend from just north of Monterey, Nuevo Leon to the North American English Canadian border to include the Tejano explored territory of Oregon.
East to west the Tejano landscape spans from the east coast of the Golf of Mexico, to the west side of the Spanish Provence of California alta, on the Pacific Coast.
